Welcome to ACES High School!

David Zirkle began his educational career as a high school Health & PE Teacher in 2002 in Springfield, Oregon.  Zirkle and his wife Shelli moved to Mukilteo in the summer of 2003, and he began teaching at Voyager Middle School in the Mukilteo School District in September that year.  He taught all subjects at some point but was primarily an English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher.  Zirkle was privileged to coach basketball and track for the Voyager Wolverines as well.

In 2013, David Zirkle transitioned to the District Office to serve as a Literacy Specialist for several years before returning to Voyager as a building administrator.  After 20 years at Voyager, he is honored and excited to join the ACES community to support the launch of the Big Picture School initiative.

Zirkle and his wife Shelli have three children, all of whom are students of the Mukilteo School District.  He has also been fortunate these past several years to volunteer in the community as both a Little League coach and Boys & Girls Club basketball coach, however these days is cheering on all the kids from the bleachers.
