ACES Big Picture Graduation Requirements

Below you will find the ACES Big Picture Graduation Requirements.  As we are building a program here at Big Picture, these requirements may change a little as the years progress.  We will keep this site updated as those changes are made.  At this time we are following the State Guideline for mastery based schools in Washington State.

 

 

  • Students are required to put 4 pieces of writing in their portfolio each year they attend. One per quarter.  

     

  • Their Autobiography should have two chapters added to it every year they are enrolled.

  • Students should be able to show growth in mathematics each year they are enrolled.  

  • Students must have evidence of their Learning Plan and show reflections /updates after each exhibition.

  • Students must be involved in Internships or some other form of off campus learning through mentors or visits.

  • Students must give three formal public displays of work and complete a Culminating Big Picture Learning Exhibition at the Senior/Graduate level.

  • Students must do a minimum of Three(3) independent or group projects connected to the vision and goals in the Learning Plan, one of which should be school/community focused.

  • Students must be able to descrig their growth and imporvement in ALL competency area
